The question we begin with

What helps someone arriving solo find a group and stay in touch after a festival?

A festival can begin a friendship that lasts beyond a weekend. We are designing places and situations that make joining others easier.

What we want to do

KinoLemon Spot is a concept for a recognisable, hosted meeting point at festivals. Participants can join a small group, choose a shared activity and meet again.

The programme would connect preparation before an event, gatherings on site and continued contact after returning home. Technology helps arrange the meeting; relationships develop between people.

We are planning a season across 4–6 festivals in Poland and Germany in 2027. The route, organiser participation and funding remain to be agreed.

Who it is for

Adult festival attendees arriving alone or open to meeting a new group. Joining would be voluntary, with no need to identify as lonely.

What we want to learn

  1. 01

Do participants meet in person and find someone to spend time with?

  2. 02

How do small groups, hosts and repeated activities work in practice?

  3. 03

Do connections last one week and one month after the event?

Who we want to work with

  • Festival organisers and social organisations in Poland and Germany
  • Hosts and facilitators experienced in working with groups
  • Researchers to design and evaluate measurement
  • Funding partners for preparation, delivery and evaluation
